Early Saturday 3rd of March Morning villagers from Mbweni ward, guided by the Women environmental group Named Wanawake Mazingira, together with Beach Management Unit, joined Aqua-Farms Organization and Rotary Club-University of Dar es Salaam in the restoration campaign of Mission green.

Together we planted 1520 seedling of two Mangrove speacies Namely, Bruguiera gymnorhiza, In Swahili famous as ( Mchofi, Mkoko Wimbi, Mshinzi, Msindi, Msinzi or Mui) in English (Black mangrove). and Rhizophora mucronata, In Swahili (Mkoko Magondi au Mkoko Mwekundu Mashariki) in English (Asiatic mangrove.

The program will happen 4 times a year, and it will be associated with many other groups ranging at all age, of different roles, and both gender.
