Fadhili Kessy Makongo is a Tanzanian aquaculture and aquatic science professional specializing in fisheries, mariculture, and aquatic research methodologies. And he is a DGS (Diponegoro Global Scholarship) scholar in Indonesia for pursuing a Master’s degree in Coastal Resource Management. He is having a Bachelor of Science in Aquaculture and Aquatic Science, pursued at University of Dodoma (UDOM), Tanzania.
He has working experience in Mariculture, marine sciences, biology, coastal and marine conservation and restoration, and professional training includes Application of GIS in conservation Mapping, and participant of the TCRS Shrimp Summit 2025, Indonesia, the 3rd Fisheries and Aquaculture Research for a Vibrant Blue Economy Conference (2024, TAFIRI), and the ATAMIZI Fisheries and Aquaculture Incubation Program (2023), were he gained hands-on experience in sea cucumber farming, seaweed cultivation, and coastal mariculture practices.
He has experience working with community-based seaweed farming projects, coastal resource management, and empowering coastal communities. His work is driven by a commitment to sustainable aquaculture, marine conservation, and the blue economy. He is eager, hardworking, a team player, friendly, fun, a leader, ambitious, and ready for new adventures and challenges in life.
